Love in the Hills: Our Stunning Shots from Rutuja and Aditya's Mahabaleshwar Wedding

As wedding photographers, we're always thrilled to be a part of couples' special days. When we were approached by Rutuja and Aditya to capture their intimate wedding, we were excited to see how they would execute their vision.

Having previously shot Rutuja's brother's wedding in 2019, we knew that the family had a great eye for detail and style. As we arrived at the stunning Le Meridian hotel in Mahabaleshwar, we couldn't help but marvel at the beautiful hillside backdrop and the hotel's elegant setting.

Walking through the venue, we were struck by the carefully planned decor and styling. Rutuja's sense of design was evident in every detail, from the tasteful color palette that complemented the surroundings to the beautiful floral arrangements.

Everything ran smoothly, and it was clear that Rutuja's attention to detail had paid off. She was beaming with joy as she watched her dream wedding unfold perfectly!

The ceremony was a beautiful blend of tradition and modernity! One of the most significant rituals in Indian weddings is the turmeric ceremony, which we had the pleasure of capturing for Rutuja. The day involved inviting five or more married women to the bride's house, where they ground turmeric, pulses, and spices using an iron pestle. During the ceremony, the women rolled papads, sang, and celebrated together. The day also included preparation for the 'rukhvat' ritual, during which the bridal trousseau and other items were artistically displayed for viewing. These rituals serve as a way to bring together the community and bless the bride-to-be for her new life.

In today's times, seldom do we get to see traditional Indian wedding rituals in all their glory! So imagine our luck when we got this opportunity to capture Rutuja's pre-haldi tradition! The result was a montage of vibrant photos, capturing the very essence of Indian weddings!
